Practice Track Submission

Practitioners are invited to submit case studies, practitioner papers and powerpoint  (PPT) presentations, to the Practice Track of the Second International Conference on Management of Globally Distributed Work and gather for an exciting and intellectually stimulating event in the heart of the GDW phenomenon - Bangalore. Presentations and case studies identifying either key problems with managing GDW, emerging opportunities or novel solution strategies, are especially welcome. The conference will give the practitioners, an opportunity to present ideas to a global audience and to interact with leading thinkers, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe.

Submissions will be reviewed by  peers, people who are either practitioners themselves, or understand practice and practical concerns. Thus, the conference will provide  a platform to speak to, inform and discuss with this great diversity of academics and practitioners from around the globe.

Submission Instructions:

This call is for practitioner submissions only. In the case some academic researchers want to submit together with one or more practitioners, that is acceptable as long as: (a) The practitioner is the first author of the submission; and (b) The practitioner provides a signed letter (scanned and faxed copies are acceptable) of their agreement to co-author and participate in the submission, and indicates that if the submission is accepted, the practitioner or his/her representative will attend the conference.

The submissions can either be in the form of powerpoint presentations, or text papers. Of special interest are case studies and presentations identifying interesting problems requiring further in depth research, novel technical and organizational solutions to existing problems, and emerging opportunities for global work distribution. The submissions should be designed such that they can be presented within 20 minutes, leaving about 10 minutes for questions.
